Lamborghini Urus WILL MOTOR V8 Biturbo

The president of Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann, confirmed that the new SUV brand, the Urus, 4.0 V8 biturbo engine will gasoline. The statement was made during an interview with the CEO and the British magazine Autocar and surprised, since it was expected that the model came with the same engine V10 and V12 aspirated SUV Huracan and Aventador.O models will hit dealerships only in 2018. Presented even as a prototype in the Hall of Beijing (China) in 2012, the utility is, according to its own brand, the first Lamborghini for everyday use. The car production version will be unveiled in 2017, just before the start of manufacture. He will fight directly with other premium SUVs such as the Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne.
"We will have the most powerful engine and have a car that will be a real super sports SUV," Winkelmann said. "[Urus] have to maintain the proper balance of the DNA of the brand, who wants to be a really drivable car and also want to have a lot of off-road capability, but driving on the roads is much more important." Winkelmann also said that the Urus production version will have a more evolved look and more room in your cabin than the concept presented at the Hall of Beijing.
Having a biturbo 4.0-liter under the hood sound familiar to a company belonging to the Volkswagen Group, but Maurizio Reggiani, head of research and development of Lamborghini, said the engine will only be used by the brand within the group.
The production model is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2018, or even at the IAA in 2017, the development ends earlier than expected.
Brazil
The main markets for the Urus will be the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, the Middle East and China. In 2012, the automaker was considering selling three thousand cars a month. But recently the car was spotted in Brazilian patent on the records of their own National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).
Registration ensures the intellectual property and is usually done in all markets where the car will be sold or where the manufacturer is established. But that does not confirm its commercialization in Brazil. We will have to wait a few years to find out.
